We may be able to partially re-open! Great excitement as I write this… stand by.  What we have planned though is a “Members’ Evening with Gary Jobson” for 28th May. Gary is a three-time All American sailor, America’s Cup winner, Fastnet Race winner, and ESPN sailing commentator as well as the author of 19 books about sailing; he has survived cancer and now works to help others do the same thing. He currently serves as a Vice President of World Sailing. He did a fantastic 40 minute presentation (on Zoom) for the New York Yacht Club a couple of weeks ago and when I contacted him afterwards to say how much I had enjoyed it, he very kindly offered to give RHADC members an evening of his time. You are in for a treat; his video clips are amazing and his stories fascinating. Now, it may be that we can have some members on the terrace whilst we have Gary on the big screens (we’ll make sure we offer a special dinner in time for everyone to finish by 8 pm to watch Gary) and other members on Zoom at home, but either way, we have to have advance registrations as numbers will be restricted. A separate flyer will come out about this shortly with a ‘click on the link’ registration button to make it simple – keep an eye open for it!
