High Performance Pathways …the present and future for sailing at RHADC. Here…
It is our basic goal to teach children how to sail and love this great sport, one of a few lifetime sports. We want to make sure they have a great time not only enjoying what they’re doing but also learning about respect, safety, responsibility, commitment and self confidence. Sailing is a sport recreational activity which teaches children independence, resilience and leadership skills, provides developmental benefits that are unequaled in most other activities.
We offer courses on different types of boats – Optimists, 420’s, ILCA & Nacras. We have different levels to accommodate the children’s ages and sailing skills. Sailors can start getting their feet wet at a very young age – 5 to 6 years old, and as they get older and more experienced, they are introduced into racing.
Finally, we do not only introduce them into racing, we also coach them at a high international level. Our sailing program is very proud about the achievements of our sailors. These include USA Optimist National Champions, Bermuda National Team Sailors, Bermuda Optimist National Championships, O’pen Bic World & North American Champions, and Olympic participation.
Having your family participate in our sailing programs will be very rewarding. Let us help introduce you to the sport, and take you as far as you want to go.

April 6th to June 14th
Spring time, sailing time! Our Junior Spring Programme brings sailors ages 6–18 back on the water with afterschool and weekend sessions designed for all levels. Whether just starting out or continuing to build skills, sailors can choose to sail once, twice, or three times a week depending on their age and level — a great way to stay active and keep progressing through the spring season.

Our Summer Sailing Camp is the highlight of the season, welcoming young sailors ages 5–15 for fun, learning, and plenty of time on the water.
Beginners are welcome, while returning sailors will continue building confidence and skills through engaging on-water activities. Half-day and full-day options are available. Sailors ages 5–8 can register week by week across our eight camp weeks, while older sailors (ages 9–15, or 8 with prior experience) join one of four two-week sessions designed to help them progress and get the most out of their summer sailing.
