Dear Members,
I hope this finds you and your family well and managing the precautions and privations brought about by the Coronavirus. Psychological health and our sense of well-being may suffer but you should be buoyed with the plan that by sacrificing now we will bring back normality sooner. I’m trying to think of this period of lost freedoms as an investment in our future in case this is helpful to you! What a strange world that we find ourselves in, never in my life has there been such a challenge to all people!
We have managed to keep our Club ticking over for the last couple of weeks by offering our take away service, which many of you have taken advantage of. Unfortunately we must cease this after 6 PM this evening and for at least the next two weeks as the Island-wide lock-down takes effect. The Club and premises therefore will be completely closed and locked. Please join me in thanking our GM Cassius and all our excellent staff for their maintaining this effort and keeping our Club going until now. Spare another thought for all those of our staff who have been or soon will be unable to work.
Our GM and Jared our Marina Manager will have special passes to enable them to visit the Club to check on the premises and to note or try to fix any problems that arise during the lock-down. If you have any concerns please email them: cfevriere@rhadc.bm and dockmaster@rhadc.bm
As you know we have postponed our AGM. We are thinking in terms of trying to have it by month-end, either at the Club if this becomes possible or via on-line conferencing that we are investigating at present. You will be updated about this by mid-month.
I wish you all the best as we invest together albeit remotely in our longer-term health.
