Message from the Commodore – June 17, 2020

There were times last year when I doubted the wisdom of the decision to purchase the Grady White for the boat share, and given the comments about it at the AGM, there are others too who had questions. However, now it seems we may have been ahead of our times – or we were just bad at getting the word out, but now the word is out and apparently it’s now a situation of “book early to avoid disappointment”.   We are so glad that members are taking advantage of this opportunity to get out on the water without the hassle, expense and responsibility of boat ownership and we hope that this will become part of a package that makes RHADC membership an attractive proposition and helps encourage new members to join.

So, isn’t it time that we called it something other than “the Grady White”?  Competition time!  Naming suggestions please to be submitted to secretary@rhadc.bm by 23rd June – that gives you all 7 days to get your thinking caps on and come up with something appropriate.  The winner gets to go out on Defender and do Race Committee work for Wednesday Night Racing for the rest of this season (only kidding – we’ll think of a suitable prize).
